Back again, and as you see I have let this blog sit idle for quite sometime between posts. MMM? Is this something I want to do? I think so. It sure would eliminate writing so many different people daily. As the saying goes, this way I could kill two birds with one stone? Oh maybe. Don't like the word kill much, just a saying I guess, but I still do not like using that word. Enough.
This week the hubby and I are gearing up for our trip to Florida to visit with his son (my step-son), his wife and 3 (grand)children. It has been nearly 3 years since we have seen them. We had totally awesome tickets booked with SkyBus, and as most of you should know, they folded and no longer are. We are still trying to get our plane ticket money back and our bank tells us it is slow coming but we should be successful. We hurried and booked another flight before all the cheap ones were taken. We obviously are spending more on plane tickets now, and that takes away from our spending money, but oh well. Our main purpose is to see the kids in their environment. They have bought a house, another car and all, and everyone is anxious to catch up. I just hope we have no delays, bad weather, whatever - PA-LEAZZZZ!
I only have to work two nights this week. None of you can even begin to imagine how much I am looking forward to being off work. It has become a real chore for me to go to work this past year and a half. Being a 911 dispatcher now for nearly 19 years has been a bit much. I am burnt out. They say the life-span of a career in dispatching law, fire & EMS is around 6 years! Whew! I guess I have over-stayed would you not say.
